Adoption Information
The first step towards adopting a CATFLAP cat (or cats!) is to get in touch with us - we try to keep the website and social media up-to-date, but it is possible that a cat has been rehomed and we haven't yet made that change to one or more pages.
CATFLAP does a preliminary home visit for EVERY household prior to rehoming any of the cats in our care; this usually takes around half an hour to an hour. As our cats are often housed with fosterers while awaiting their new forever homes, the location where you will go to meet a cat you're interested in can vary.
Adoption fees at CATFLAP are on a sliding scale; kittens attract the highest fee, while older cats are rehomed at our lowest fee - this encourages the adoption of older/elderly cats, who make great companions but are often overlooked by potential new owners.
Prior to rehoming, all CATFLAP cats will have undergone an examination by one of our partner vet practices, and received vaccinations and spot-on treatment for parasites, as well as being microchipped.
If you are interested in providing a home for any of the cats in our care, please either email us through the Contact Us form on the site, message us on Facebook, or phone us on 07773191519.
Please note, we are open by arrangement only as the shelter is based at a private home.
